Danish wall shelf Butterfly designed by Poul Cadovius in 1958. It was manufactured by Cado from a single piece of steam-bent teak plywood. The design emerged by chance when Cadovius was experimenting with bending steel plates, resulting in the graceful, curved supports. It deliberately mimics the lightness and elegance of butterfly wings, making it both functional and decorative. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
