Doric Shelf

The Doric Shelf from SIN presents a mix of classically inspired construction and simple, contemporary design. Part of the SIN-signature Fig system, short for “Configuration,” its namesake evokes the open ceramic cylinders of the ancient Doric columns, and it uses two handmade ceramic stoneware bases to support a half-inch thick plank of strong tempered glass that can hold all manner of accessories or decorations. The slick glass contrasts nicely with the textured ceramic, transforming its surroundings by highlighting the two very different materials that offer a similar airy appeal.
