Paintwork damaged in a few areas. The project was one of the largest in Perriand's career. She was then in her 60s, at the peak of her career in 1967 when she was asked to join the project to lead a team of young architects to create a ski resort in the alpine landscape. As a feminist and socialist, Charlotte Perriand wanted to bring her egalitarian attitude to the architecture and interior design of Les Arcs.
