Large gray wooden industrial shelving unit from Belgium, circa 1940. We found this shelving unit in an old agricultural machinery workshop in Belgium, which was around 150 years old. These units were used there for all kinds of materials and hardware. Due to the simple construction and the wood used, which bears various inscriptions, we suspect these units were made during the war with what was available. A logo with the text "Imperial" is still visible through the paint on the side of the unit. We have fully restored this unit, cleaned it, and applied a layer of wax. The small compartments are 22 cm high, and the large ones are 24-25 cm high. A beautiful piece of industrial heritage with a beautiful appearance. Perfect for an industrial interior, kitchen, or living room.
