Finnish designer Tapio Anttila is back with a new design for Maze, the Mixrack Floor Shelf.‎ Metal meets wood in a minimalist storage unit that is designed to fit in most rooms.‎ Created by Finnish designer Tapio Anttila, Mixrack Floor Shelf is a further development from his previous design products for Maze, Mixrack Shoe Shelf and Mixrack Storage.‎ Here, Tapio follows the same design track he is previously known for; where both form and function are found in simplicity.‎ Sustainability is one of Anttila's cornerstones in his work as a designer and his style is rooted in Finnish design tradition that meets a modern approach.‎The Mixrack Floor Shelf comes in two sizes, with three and four shelf sets respectively.‎ The top shelf is made of oak veneer, and the remaining shelves in lacquered MDF.‎ The shelves are held up with a frame in powder-coated metal wire.‎ The metal thread comes from Gunnar's thread in Hillerstorp and the product is made by R-Kås located in Gnosjö, Småland.‎ They have been ISO-certified since 2011 and have a pellet plant that heats the factory premises and solar cells on the roof, which generate about 65% of their electricity consumption.‎
