Sukoya Shelving Unit

The Sukoya Shelving Unit from Blomus is an inspired blend of contemporary clarity intersecting with rustic character. Designed by Kazushige Miyake, the name “Sukoya” means “Square” in Japanese, specifically the tool used to measure and mark a 90-degree angle. This name is a tribute to its linear frame and slim shelf design, made from slim strands of oiled oak with smooth shelves in an oiled oak veneer. A whole shelf up top contrasts well with the partial shelving below, while the slender design keeps the focus on the items placed on it.
