Walnut pieces may contain color variations ranging from deep brown to light yellow. Character can include variations in color and grain, small pin knots, evidence of historical intrusion. There may be cracks or knots that we fill, patch or join in a considered and artful way at the makers discretion. We look at every slab and decide what needs a patch or epoxy or both. Case by case, one may be more effective and better for the furniture, aesthetically, structurally, and for our process. Please note: If a specific tool, like a patch, is not desired, please specify this when ordering. This may require procuring different lumber which can alter costs. If color adjustment is requested on a completed piece after the fact, we will charge additional you for a custom stain.
