This stunning table is a versatile antique, being a great size for use as a center table, accent table, or small desk. It was made in France sometime around 1900 in the prevalent Napoleon III style. Featuring a lot of brass inlay, ebonized wood, and brass ormolu it’s a stunning piece! One side of this side table features a drawer with dovetail cut joints. The drawer front is the entire side of the apron of the table between the legs, so it’s hidden unless you know it’s there. Brass ormolu adorns each leg and foot a a brass molding rims the violin shaped top. The top even features a floral style brass inlay. This piece has seen some restoration through its life. Some of the brass string inlay is gone and has been filled and painted to match. You will an example of this on the top, but the repairs are present on some of the sides too. One foot has been repaired but remains sturdy. Minor wear marks and shrinkage splits are present throughout the table, as you’d expect from something this old. Overall dimensions are 39.5" wide x 24" deep x 30" tall. The height from the floor to the bottom of the apron varies between 23.5" - 25".
