A fantastic small 18th century English Queen Anne mahogany drop leaf with round straight tapered legs ending in wonderfully whimsical pad feet. This table was originally designed for use as a breakfast table or to serve a member of the household who didn’t feel like dining with the rest of the family or had missed the meal. It would then have been placed against a wall when not in use,. But today they can serve an even greater number of functions such as a sofa table, tea table, or console table under a painting or mirror. Dates circa 1750.
