This elegant antique table was crafted in Paris France, circa 1870. Bombe in shape, the side table stands on cabriole legs decorated with gilt bronze foliate mounts at the shoulders, and ending with scrolled bronze sabot feet. The shaped surface, decorated with a bronze trim around the edges, is dressed with a inset rouge leather top embellished with a gilt embossed floral medallion in the center and embossed trim around the perimeter. The scalloped apron is dressed with a drawer across the front, and features inlaid marquetry decor on all four sides. This beautiful Louis XV style occasional table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina associated with bronze dore ormolu decorations.
