A charming French Provincial occasional table in the Louis XVI style, made in northern France circa 1840. This round table features a richly colored specimen marble top surrounded by a pierced bronze gallery. The apron is beautifully inlaid with geometric cube-pattern parquetry and houses two small drawers and two sliding candle trays inset with green tooled leather. Raised on elegant tapered legs, this multifunctional piece works beautifully as a side table, writing table, or decorative accent. A lovely balance of refined neoclassical lines and warm provincial character.
