19th Century Victorian Papier / Paper Mache Tilt Top Table Incredible, hand-painted gold details and patterns around the scene on the table top. The same gold-painted pattern continues down onto the base of the table. The table includes beautiful brass hardware that unlocks to allow the table to stand upright. The casters are small white (white porcelain?) wheels on the bottom of each foot, which allows the table to move easily. Depiction on the table top - "Bolton Abbey in the Olden Time is an 1834 history painting by the British artist Edwin Landseer. It features a scene set at Bolton Abbey in Yorkshire during its time as Roman Catholic priory. The abbot receives a tribute of food from a forester, falconer and fisherman's daughter."
