Designed by German talent Sebastian Herkner, theAlwaseries features minimalistic side tables composed of metal frames and cast glass tops. The collection was borne of Herkner’s fascination with cast glass, and his desire to create something truly unique. To achieve each tabletop’s substantial 50-cm thickness, Herkner leaves liquid glass in a special metal mold, allowing it to solidify over the course of several days. The air bubbles in the glass give each tabletop a unique character that calls to mind the beauty of water.
