Elegant Dutch Art Deco occasional table or side table in oak and black laquered balls for feet, a well made table with marvellous details. Recently we discovered that there tables were made by the famous Dutch Genneper Molen workshop in Gennep, where celebrated designer P.E.L. Izeren (1886–1943) led design until the late 1930s. Although many of the designs by the factory were - in style - more towards modernism / The Hague School - this table has a clear Amsterdam School design. Recognizable by the black ball/bullet decorations and the sculptural, organic shape. A striking Dutch Art Deco accent for eclectic, design-literate interiors - collectible, authentic, and with proven Genneper Molen origin. The table is constructively in very good condition, stable and sturdy. There are small signs of wear consistent with age and use.
