Antique English metal document box/table on a wooden stand. Provided by a Greensboro, North Carolina company “Wind Rose” who imported antique French and Italian furniture and decor. The authentic heavy gauge metal box is late 19th Century, as back in the day before house safes, the english would store their important documents, should a fire occur. The wood stand was custom made to fit the box, and the paint showcasing citrus oranges was done in the 90’s and signed by the artist. Perfect to use as a side table along a sofa or chair as well as between two chairs.
