This is a small Middle Eastern side table with a six-sided top, probably made in Morocco. It has mother of pearl inlay and two-tone wood veneer that form interesting and beautiful mosaic patterns reflective of the Islamic “Arabesque” style. Even though distressed and missing mother of pearl, it’s beautiful, and the mother of pearl has retained it’s iridescence. Many of the newer tables are painted or have resin or bone inlay, but this is the classic old style, and it’s intricate and busy enough that the imperfections aren’t too distracting. It has no maker’s mark, but appears to be early 20th century.
