This round Art Deco pedestal side table, made in Belgium in the 1930s, is executed in honey coloured Birch wood and shows a clear and balanced construction. The table stands on four small feet that support a central pedestal, creating a stable yet light appearance. From this base, the structure rises smoothly into a round tabletop. The top surface highlights a strong and well-defined Birch grain, which is clearly visible across the full diameter. The natural pattern of the wood adds depth and movement to the otherwise simple and geometric form. The combination of the circular top and the vertical pedestal reflects the restrained elegance typical of Belgian Art Deco design from this period. The proportions are compact, making the piece suitable as a side table, occasional table, or decorative accent within both classic and contemporary interiors. Its material honesty and clean construction allow it to integrate easily while still standing out through its shape and wood character. Condition This side table shows small signs of age and use throughout the top, pedestal and feet which is in line with the age of the item. The table received a new finish keeping some age related signs visible.
