While not borrowing from either aesthetic, I was thinking of John Dickinson’s and Diego Giacometti’s furniture when I made this. I love functional art and wanted to make something that people will actually use. Each side of the table is unique in composition. Unlike Dickinson’s very heavy, solid plaster tables, the interior plaster layers of this piece are reinforced with fiber glass, allowing the interior to be mostly hollow. It’s still around 40 pounds, but can be picked up by one person. While white by default, let me know if you'd like a custom color..
