The piece hints at a mutation, an organism that has been altered. It questions the impact of humans on nature and embodies the silent transformations our behaviors impose on ecosystems. A once-familiar organism becomes strange, recognizable yet changed. This piece was 3D-printed and reinforced for greater durability. The finish was handcrafted with acrylic paint and coated with a protective varnish.
