Carlinas Side Table

Diminutive and daring, and anything but delicate. The Carlinas Side Table from BD Barcelona. Designed by Oscar Tusquets Blanca and named for Carlo Mollino, its three-legged structure is fashioned from ash wood shaped into biomorphic patterns flattened to smoothness and elegance, but with the natural material of the sustainably harvested wood still living in the background. The underlying structure is naturally-inspired but steady and strong, creating a trademark triangle in the table’s center, with the joints adding suggestions of elbows or knees as they elevate the translucent disc tabletop of tempered, smoked glass to complete the piece.
