Early Victorian English side table in mahogany and mahogany veneer. The four-part top opens halfway through two doors, concealing a compartment with a pair of drawers. When open, the two tops serve as a bookrest, thanks to the adjustable tilting rack. The top is also height-adjustable via a metal stop screw located on the fluted column. The contoured base rests on caster feet. Interior is mahogany and maple. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
