A fine English pre-William-and-Mary, circa 1680 Charles II period side table of rectangular form, the moulded-edge parquetry top inlaid with olivewood 'oystering' within geometric strapwork in holly atop oyster-frieze single drawer with one wood pull on finely turned 'Solomonic' ash supports joined by shaped x-form flat stretcher on original bun feet. A nearly identical, but smaller table is in the National Trust collections at Beningbrough Hall, North Yorkshire.
