This is an authentic English oak side or tavern table dating from the late 17th to early 18th century (circa 1680-1720). The table features a rectangular overhanging top with molded edge, supported on four bobbin-turned legs joined by square stretchers. It displays pegged mortise-and-tenon joinery typical of the period, along with signs of long use including surface wear, shrinkage.
