In fact, it is these very stones that inspired both the table’s name and design – “jari” is the Japanese word for the pebbles that time and tide have shaped into rounded, soft surfaces. The combination of the slim top and slender legs gives the table a light, graceful presence, as if it were standing on tiptoe.
