Beautiful Victorian era Rococo Revival parlor table featuring a beautifully figured, white-and-grey veined marble top with a dramatic scalloped and molded edge. The rich walnut base boasts an intricately carved apron adorned with stylized acanthus leaf and scrolling floral motifs. Four deeply curved cabriole legs display elegant relief carvings along the knees and flow downward to terminate in delicate feet. The legs are anchored by a X-stretcher, centering a prominent, finely turned finial that adds a stately anchor to the design. As a unique testament to its history, the underside of the raw marble top bears a hand-painted vintage inscription reading "Calada" alongside a geometric maker's mark or tally symbol. Perfect as an accent table in an entryway, a sophisticated side table in a living room, or a statement piece in a bedroom nook. Condition Notes: The wood base displays a deep original patina.
