A pair of Chinese elmwood cube shaped side tables from the late 20th century made with antique red lacquered elmwood and possibly Ming Dynasty period marble inset tops coming from a temple courtyard. Created in China during the third quarter of the 20th century, each of this pair of side tables features a linear silhouette perfectly complimented by a vivid red lacquer finish. Made of antique elmwood, the tables each present a square top adorned in its center with a marble inset possibly coming from a Ming Dynasty period temple courtyard. The tables are raised on four sturdy, straight legs securing a lower checkerboard-pierced shelf. They are resting flat on the ground, sans feet. The grand simplicity of their lines, striking red lacquer and great history will make this pair of Chinese side tables with possible Ming Dynasty marble tops an excellent addition to any home, perhaps displayed in a living room or under a covered patio.
