The coexist askew is an exploration of balance, material, and harmony. The materials consist of a stainless steel cube base and a marble cube top. The table features a marble cube balanced at an unexpected angle on the brass cube base. The two cubes are interacting in an off-kilter way and the dependence of each material on the other allows the piece to exist. There is no hardware used to hold the piece together, rather precision fitting and engineering allows for the parts to rely upon one another to exist.
