Chinese export bamboo étagère side table in burnt tortoiseshell bamboo with a black lacquered top. An open Chinese Chippendale fretwork apron crowns a tall, airy frame with a mid-level display shelf. Equally useful as a side table, plant stand, or a sculptural piece for displaying a vase, stack of books, or favorite objects. The bamboo has a deep amber, fire-finished patina. Reads beautifully in a variety of interiors. A second, slightly smaller bamboo side table in a coordinating style is also available in my shop. The two are not a matching pair but read beautifully together as a harlequin set; see final photo.
