A modern side or end table by John Vesey (1924-1999) circa 1960s. Constructed with industrial-grade solid aluminum with brass filial accents, the table has a minimalistic form with notched glass top set into the frame. The laconic ornamentations were limited to four small brass bosses on the corners and the subtly shaped feet. The glass top is newly replaced. Laminated with hand notched and polished corners. John Vesey was an American designer who was known to pioneer into using industrial material to re-interpret classic furniture forms for a midcentury modern silouette.
