From most angles the table appears to be giving a bow or curtsy. From other perspectives it appears to walk, accentuating its anthropomorphic inclination. These gestures consider how nature can occupy our domestic spaces. Typical to this collection, the solid wood is finished in a gloss epoxy.Henry d’ath is a New Zealand-born, Hong Kong-based artist and architect. Using predominantly salvaged material, the artist routinely handworks each piece over many months resulting in lucid, yet ambiguously functional pieces of sculpture. Each work in this current collection is an individual edition in an ongoing series, hand-made by the artist themselves.
