The elephant form is carved in confident, rounded detail with a raised trunk, carved ear and harness relief, and a separate hinged tabletop surface. Natural mango wood checking (splitting) is present — one more pronounced split on the rear body, one on the left ear — both characteristic of solid wood and inherent to the material, not damage.
