Table served on its “Majorelle Nancy” tray. Louis Jean Sylvestre (dit Louis) Majorelle is a French cabinetmaker and decorator, worthy heir to the Art Nouveau movement, inspired by curved lines and biomorphism. This table has a rectangular top in precious black wood veneer, around a slightly molded, adorned with a various oval pattern in various wood. The fine protruding belt, softened to the edges, is connected by four rounded feet conveying to the bottom and ending with wooden hooves. This piece of furniture also offers a second tablet arranged at the upper third party. Note that the underside of these tablets is offset in walnut veneer to avoid deformation over time. This table served will seduce with its charm, size and precious essence of wood. ********* Era: 1910 Excellent condition. Satin varnished finish.
