A fine example of Herts Brother's high quality craftsmanship. This round side table is raised on three hairy paw ormolu feet which has a heavily ormolu encrusted platform out of which a column rises to support the finely inlaid top of flower garlands and ribbons made of mahogany, kingwood, rosewood tulip and olivewood. It is French polished to highest lustre and retains its original ormolu edge and paper label. The Herts Brothers were furniture designers and interior decorators, active in New York City from, circa 1870-1908. Their furniture is now collected by museums ranging from the Brooklyn Museum to the De Young Museum in San Francisco. This item includes restricted materials and can not be sold outside of the contiguous United States.
