Solid Cast Brass, Shou Sugi Ban Oak Cant & Handblown Glass Cant Side Table

The Cant side table is part of the Cant collection designed by Egg Designs and manufactured in South Africa.This high end, contemporary and bespoke side table is evidence of Egg's unique and exploratory approach to materials.The solid Oak Cant base has been finished in the ancient Japanese technique of Shou Sugi Ban which gives it a beautiful finish that has a natural sheen. Further there is a solid cast brass cross gusset that support the hand blown glass top. The cross gusset is sand cast which gives it a pitted polished surface which enhances the handmade aesthetic. During the process of Shou Sugi Ban the base develops natural cracks, this is the signature of the pieces, it also means each piece remains unique.
