This rare and iconic table features a wooden top gilded with gold leaf, with traces of birds in relief on the surface. It rests on two sculptural legs in solid brass, shaped like bird’s feet. The original table was exhibited by the artist Meret Oppenheim in 1939 at the Parisian gallery René, which showcased art furniture. Dino Gavina later collaborated with Oppenheim on the commercial production of the table for Studio Simon in Milan in 1972. The top shows signs of wear and age. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
