This ingenious side table transforms into a small dining table with a single movement. French architect and furniture designer Charlotte Perriand (1903-1999) designed the table in the 1960s for the rooms of the "Les Arcs" ski resort in Saint-Maurice, in the French Savoy region. with it, Perriand created the perfect solution for small spaces where everything needed to be compact and furniture had to serve multiple purposes. The deep side table thus becomes a coffee table or a dining table. A spring mechanism allows the table to be raised continuously from 45 to 72 cm. The tabletop is made of solid spruce, and the base is made of black lacquered metal. Four adjustable feet compensate for uneven floors, ensuring the table always stands level and stable. It is in good original condition. The tabletop is clean but shows a noticeable patina. The base has been repaired occasionally over the years and is in very good condition.
