This is a true wrought iron side/accent table with hand-painted pottery tile top by Addison Mizner (1872-1933) a premier architect for Palm Beaches elite, circa 1920s. The base stand is constructed from black, hand-forged wrought iron, cabriole-style legs, decorative leaf-like accents attached to the upper part of the legs, and a circular, twisted-iron stretcher connects the legs, which provides both structural integrity and a decorative focal point at the base. Features four separate tiles fitted into a black wrought iron frame which forms a larger decorative scene of a mythological creature-a stylized dragon depicting with "puffs" of wind coming from its mouth, surrounded by floral scrollwork and geometric border patterns The vibrate colors are a combination of cobalt blue. golden yellow, ochre, and green over a creamy white glaze. Because this is hand-painted by the artist, this table is a one-of a kind, you will not find another one out there.
