This piece is an absolute stunner! the top has a beveled and molded edge, surrounding a simple band and then another ban of hand carved decoration,. This frames the central panel of the top, which is expertly hand carved in a mirrored pattern. The top follows down to simple sides, which also have hand carved decorations in geometric patterns and hand scalloped brackets. The front of the case holds two drawers, both banded by a simple outer band, surrounding the central carved panel, and flanked by hand carvings on either side. Below the drawers is a scalloped apron, also hand carved in a lovely leaf and branch pattern. The piece is supported on simple legs in the back for easy placement against a wall, and hand turned spool style turned legs in the front. The legs are connected by scalloped stretchers, adorned in the center with a carved plinth. The piece is raised on hand turned bun feet.
