Sunning Antique English Chippendale style sideboard, circa 1870s. Features a serpentine form made from walnut with matchbook burl and crossbanding. The buffet showcases a camelback-shaped backsplash in front of a dropwell with three hand-dovetailed drawers, set between two outer cabinets for additional storage. Each outer cabinet has one shelf. The lower right side has a pullout drawer that was originally used as a cellarette and shows shadows from the wine or spirits that were once housed there. Drawers and doors are fitted with ornate filigree brass hardware and round drop / knocker pulls. The case is supported by six cabriole legs with scalloped knees over ball and claw feet.
