Circa 1900 geometric elm sideboard from England. This sideboard is stylistically from the Jacobean period, but was made in the Edwardian period. The piece is made from elm, and has lovely overall graining. The top is made from a single plank, which has a beveled edge, following down to simple sides with scalloped edges at the bottom of the sides. The front of the case has three drawers with geometric applied moldings, surrounding lovely grained drawer fronts, and flanked by applied half turnings. The piece is supported on hand turned legs in the front and simple legs in the back for easy placement against a wall. The back legs are connected by a simple stretcher, as well as the sides of the piece. This is a gorgeous piece and will look wonderful in any home or office.
