The diamond sideboard plays with different planes. A collection of rectangular columns placed at random angles and depths forms a facade interrupted by two thick horizontal planes of solid wood. This array of volumes serves as doors to a fully functional cabinet, with adjustable shelves. The visual cues associated with doors, regularity in size, handles or hinges, are absent, making this sideboard about volume and presence. Shown here in White Oak with Antique Bronze accents, the piece is also available in Blackened, Grey or Bone White Ash, with Hand-Polished Aluminum accents. About the Diamond CollectionThe Diamond collection congregates similar but unique forms into constructions that celebrate subtle differences. There is intent and organization in the results, but also a desire for some freedom from symmetry or rigid guidelines. Composed of different tables and soon a sideboard, this collection uses primarily white oak, either alone, or paired with aluminum, hand polished to a satin finish.
