Elegant large Art Deco sideboard. France 1920s. The sideboard was made in France and was part of the Art Deco interior of the world-famous hotel "La Mamounia" in Marrakech. The luxury hotel was a famous meeting place for international celebrities from politics, high society and the film industry, especially in the 1920s. Well-known artists and designers of the Art Deco era were responsible for the interior design at the time. In 2009, the entire Art Deco furnishings of the hotel in Marakesh were auctioned off as the hotel was completely modernized. The sideboard was painted high-gloss black, the original brass fittings with fish motifs were nickel-plated and the drawer handles were chrome-plated. Original shelves.
