Solid Danish oak sideboard designed by Henning Kjærnulf and produced by Nyrup Møbelfabrik, dating from the 1960s. The piece displays a distinctly brutalist influence, expressed through its bold proportions, solid construction, and emphasis on honest materials and traditional craftsmanship. Crafted in oak, the sideboard features four paneled doors with original iron hardware and key. Behind the doors are spacious compartments with shelving and a central bank of drawers, offering generous and practical storage. The robust frame, sculpted legs, and stretcher base underline the architectural character often associated with Kjærnulf’s work from this period. A strong and characterful storage piece that works equally well in both modern and more traditional interiors, suitable for use as a sideboard, credenza, or dining room cabinet.
