This exceptional Louis XVI style sideboard is a rare find! Crafted in burled wood which could be walnut and topped with a Calacatta Vagli Oro marble top which is an exquisite Italian stone prized for its creamy white base and dramatic veining in gold, taupe, and charcoal. The nice rich wood is a great accent for the marble top and bronze / brass floral type ormolu detailing throughout Stunning hardware and unique top side drawers that pull out sideways The Calacatta Vagli Oro marble top features a stunning Ogee type edge finish - there are some water marks / etching on the top but can only see on certain angles The mirror that sits atop this piece offers great attention to detail as well. With the inlay pieces of wood framing the beveled mirror and unique curved design on each side the mirror which reflects the curves of the sideboard itself. Mirror does have spot that is worn at the top center below ornate ribbon piece but it is small (see in photos) Features fluted legs Four total drawers sit above the beautiful designed four cabinet doors giving you plenty of storage. The wood does show its age in some areas but is common with an age for a piece like this. This piece is very well made and very heavy. The mirror and marble top do come off to make moving easier. The side doors and middle door do have locks but none of them actually lock the doors closed. Could be fixed but leaving as is. Skeleton key which is included is used to put into lock and pull open cabinet doors - which is a feature of most Louis XVI sideboards The photos do not truly capture the beauty if this remarkable piece!
