Art Deco Dressoir Model "Opus 880" designed by Jac Van Den Bosch for 't Binnenhuis, Amsterdam. Arts and Crafts furniture made of solid wood and inlay coromandel top and a top with shelf. The dressoir featured with three drawers are each provided with hand-forged yellow copper handles in typical 't Binnenhuis style the four doors are equipped with the original 't Binnenhuis keys. The furniture is signed with a branding stamp and a metal furniture plate of 't Binnenhuis, Amsterdam. In our collection the complete living room set with Dressoir OPUS 880, Oval dining table with 6 chairs, all signed. Jac Van den Bosch was one of the founders and initially deputy director of a company and studio for interior design, 't Binnenhuis, together with H.P. Berlage. An ideological concept. The household goods to be purchased had to be of good quality, well designed, functional and sober but with attention to design and functionality. It also had to be affordable for citizens. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
