Mid-century sideboard designed by Alfred Hendrickx in 1958. This beautiful piece of furniture was manufactured by the Belgian company Belform. The sideboard combines Belgian modernism with Scandinavian influences. The body rests on a black lacquered base, which was typical of the early Belform collections designed by Alfred Hendrickx in the 1950s. The wood is a successful combination of light maple and dark bubinga. The black lacquered handles are not original but fit well with the overall design. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
