Arne Vodder was a Danish designer and architect. A close friend of Finn Juhl, he is considered one of the most important figures in Danish design today. Vodder's work is characterized by the perfect combination of simplicity, functionality, and sophisticated aesthetics. His timeless and elegant designs are now sought-after objects among collectors and gallery owners. Arne Vodder designed this sideboard in the 1960s for Skovby Møbelfabrik. This model was later produced by Dyrlund. How the collaboration came about is unknown, although the two manufacturers were only a few kilometers apart. The sideboard features a central section with drawers of various sizes, flanked by four large compartments with sliding doors. The elegant door handles and the dovetail joints of the drawer fronts are particularly striking. The teak grain is spectacular!
