Northern Swedish gustavian provincial sofa. The sofa is made in pine and has the hand-scraped-to original paint. The sofa is from the first few years of the 19th century, around 1800 to 1810. A good example of Swedish 18th and 19th century compact living the sofa offers storage underneath the seat and the front also extends to what then was a bed at night. The seat is later and newly upholstered with new linen fabric. Healthy and solid frame. The Swedish gustavian and the neoclassical era are the same time period but have different names in different geographical areas.
