English regency mahogany sofa table, circa early 19th century. With a mahogany top with burl ash crossbanding and two D shaped drop leaves on either end, two frieze drawers on the front side with string inlay, the back side with string inlay, a baluster shaped pedestal with 4 down swept legs ending in brass lion paw feet, resting on brass casters. Dimensions of table top when drop leaves are raised, width 57.5" X 25.5". Dimensions of table top when drop leaves are lowered, width 36" depth 25.5". Knee clearance 22.5". Hand dove tailed drawer construction. Could be used as a writing table.
