Kenyan artisans hand carve these appealing coffee spoons from wild olive wood, a slow-growing tree with beautifully grained wood. The handle is adorned with bleached cow bone, and then designed using a batiking process, which is a traditions-old technique where wax is placed on the bone handle and then dipped in dye. The dye adheres to the un-waxed parts of the handle, creating unique and original design patterns. No two are identical!
